Cyrano
By Mark Flegg
Michigan Opera Theatre’s 2007-2008 Season kicks off with the long-awaited world premiere of David DiChiera’s Cyrano. Based on Edmund Rostand’s literary masterpiece, Cyrano de Bergerac, the opera recounts the story of a swordsman-poet’s selfless love affair with his beautiful cousin, Roxane. I’ll be in the orchestra pit for most of the show, and backstage for parts of the second and third acts. Click the logo below to visit Michigan Opera Theatre’s website.
