Strauss - Alpine Symphony
By Mark Flegg
The Flint Symphony Orchestra kicks off 2008 with a bang, performing Richard Strauss’ An Alpine Symphony. This is a great piece of music with lots of excellent brass writing. If you haven’t heard it (or if you have) you owe it to yourself to come out to Whiting Auditorium and hear this great music! Also on the program will be pianist Angela Cheng performing Brahms’ first piano concerto. Enrique Diemecke will conduct. More information is available here.
