WSU Faculty Recital
By Mark Flegg
In case you can’t make it to Ann Arbor to hear the premier of James Nissen’s Concerto for Trumpet and Large WindEnsemble (or even if you can!), I’ll be teaming up with fellow brass faculty member Gary Hellick for a joint faculty recital in the Schaver Music Recital Hall, Old Main, at Wayne State University. We’ve put together a great program of modern music for trumpet and trombone. There’s lots of variety on this program, with something to please any brass afficionado! The recital will feature works by Robert Bradshaw, Otto Ketting, Paul Hindemith, Eugene Bozza, and others. More information is available here, on the WSU Music Department Website.
